China Cup 2011

Meaghan plays for the CDNIS varsity softball team. In the past week, she has played teams from all over South-East Asia, including Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore and Myannmar. This weekend the girls played in a tournament in Hong Kong- the China Cup. The weekend culminated in our playing our arch rival Hong Kong International School ( the big American school) in the final- after a slow start, our girls clawed back from a 7-0 deficit to take a 9-8 lead in the top of the 7th inning. HKIS managed a couple big hits to win 10-9, but it was a great weekend for the girls. Meaghan leads our team at the bat and on the field. Over the course of the weekend, she hit 4 huge homeruns over the fence. In the final she hit a shot to deep Left center field that missed going over the fence by about a foot. The girls had a great weekend- the most fun I have had coaching in a long time!
